I wish I could say that it's easy for me to take someone off of the first team but I just can't. I would say Nick over Whittington but there are a lot of arguments for Whittington. I think Nick's game against Kent at home sealed his second team fate. I think two guys on Second team is very solid. I think if Tony would have been able to play more early he'd be a sure-fire Freshman MAC member. I think he actually is one of the top frosh at this point of the season if not the best. Would have liked to see Jon get Honorable Mention. I think he deserves it for three solid years.

Looks like the voting was done strictly on stats and not worth to team.  There are only two players (Javon McCrea & Juice Brown) in the conference that if you remove them from their teams would have as much effect as removing Nick from the Bobcats.  Take Nick off the Bobcats and we are playing a road game tonight.

Interesting, Van. The coaches vote on this, so it's the classic question of how seriously they take the voting.

I'm guessing it's an assistant or staff member that actually fills out the ballot.

Thanks Perimeter. To add to that, here's how they rank in the MAC:
(4) Shane Whittington, WMU (4th in PPG, 3rd in RPG)
(3) Juice Brown, Toledo (6th in PPG, 1st in APG)
(3) Javon McCrea, Buffalo (2nd in PPG AND RPG)
(3) Tree Treadwell, Akron (7th in PPG, 4th in RPG)
(1) David Brown, WMU (1st in PPG)

Second Team
(3) Nick Kellogg, Ohio (5th in PPG, 13th in APG)
(2) Maurice NDour, Ohio (10th in PPG, 7th in RPG)
(2) Rian Pearson, Toledo (11th in PPG, 19 in RPG)
(1) Quincy Diggs, Akron (18th in PPG, 14th in APG)
(1) Will Felder, Miami (8th in PPG, 8th in RPG)

Third Team
(2) Richaun Holmes, BGSU (12th in PPG, 6th in RPG)
(1) Majok Majok, Ball St (24th in PPG, 1st in RPG)
(1) Justin Drummond, Toledo (9th in PPG)
(0) Chris Fowler, CMU (3rd in PPG, 2nd in APG)
(0) Karrington Ward, EMU (15th in PPG, 12th in RPG)

Honorable Mention
(2) Connor Tava, WMU (20th in PPG, 17th in RPG, 10th in APG)
(1) Josh Freelove, Buffalo (13th in PPG)
(0) Kris Brewer, Kent St (21st in PPG, 9th in APG)
(0) Jordan Threloff, NIU (9th in RPG)
(0) JD Weatherspoon, Toledo (23rd in PPG, 10th in RPG)

If I'm Chris Fowler and am third in scoring and second in assists and only make third-team, I'm not happy.

I think if not for Mo's back problem, he is easily first team.
