Basketball Passport - bbpassport.com - lets fans track every NBA and college basketball game they’ve attended back to 1980; fans can relive memories, create and track their arena bucket lists, plan road trips and compete against avid game-goers.

I was invited to be a beta tester and it really is a great tool. Wish I had it 30 years ago. Kyle Whelliston (Basketball State/Mid-Majority) is a co-founder. It's a free service. I invite you to go check it out.

Pretty cool but would be 10 times cooler for me for baseball...Does something like that exist?

If Tom Freeman signs up, it will crash the server.

MLB has an At The Ballpark app that lets you check into games and keeps a journal with box scores and highlights from games you've attended. It tracks the ballparks you've been to and the records of the teams you've seen. It's only for MLB stadiums, but it's still pretty cool.

Sometimes you'll unlock a special discount or prize by checking in. I randomly won a Curt Schilling poster at a Phillies game this season.

Nice site. I got excited that I might be able find out who we played on January, 28, 1978 - but it only goes back to the year right after that! Reason I am trying to find out is I found an old game ticket stub in box of various tickets to events I have kept over the years. The ticket just says "OHIO UNIVERSITY - Convocation Center - 1977-1978 Basketball Game 8". Opponent not named. Pizza Hut $2.00 Off offer on the back. This was my Freshman year at OHIO - must have been a tic my parents bought when visiting me.

Anyone know where I might find the schedule for the 77-78 season? Tried various searches and OHIO resources and no luck.

ESPN Passport does all the professional sports from NFL, MLB, College, down to Horse Racing and Poker.  It has options to add game comments and pictures.  They show your results by team, year, home/road, etc...  It also has an option for checking in to games you watch on TV, but I've only used it to track games I actually went to.  I think it only goes back to 2002 though.  It shows I have attended 59 Ohio men's basketball games since then.  Not bad for living 4+ hours away, although most seem to have been @ Kent Akron and the MAC Tourny.  It shows the Bobcat "Captain" for checking into the most games is some guy named anorris haha.

They still list the games, but it seems ESPN has abandoned the concept for the most part.  None of the Post-season games I've attended the last few years have been listed and they have discontinued the mobile app.  They used to have a view that showed all of the stadiums / arenas you had been to, but removed it the last time they updated it a while back.  I really liked that view.

Seems pretty cool, I may have to sign up.

In a way this reminds me of the Stadium Tour app for Facebook. It was really handy, but seemed to stop working - for me at least.

i signed up for it today Ben. I think my favorite part are the challenges.  I didn't realize I,only need 4 more stadiums in the MAC to have been to them all.

Jezowie

I signed up and spent an hour trying to at least get in the most recent years. It stops at a cetain time ....and my brain remembers games at the Rosemont Horizon between Depaul and UCLA , Notre Dame and Loyola but it is a royal pain in butt to remember what month and year they are.... I suppose I could access team websites and figure out who the players (tripucka, Cummings, Tyrone Corbin, Aguirre)  were to get the games and years. . Gonna have to find my way around to make navigation easier. I would like to see a way to just get the venues in because I can tell you what the Hall of Fame and lobby looked like in the old Cincy  Gardens or who the Bulls Played when Reggie Theus was there with Dave Corzine pre MJ but there is no way I am going to take time to find the game and the year.

Anyone find a way just to enter the venue without specifically culling through to find a game and a date.?

Good thing they do not do this for HS games.....I may never get any work done.

I wish my memory was good enough to remember all the Toledo & BGSU games I went to as a kid, or which random games I stumbled into in Illinois or Missouri or wherever I've been all those years that are now a fog.

i found I could search the venue then click the year in the bottom right and it lists the games for that year. Made it a lot earier to find all the NCAA tourney games I went to.

That s cool. I just followed the team and tried to remember what games I attended and what year. That gets tough when you get back to the 80's and teams that played each other a couple of times each season. Trying to remember what day my neice was christened and what game we cut out of the reception to catch....gets tedious. I remember getting chastised for leaving ....just not what game we saw. Seems that way for many of those family obligations....freeking things always fall on a day when I got places to be. Of course this is limited to NCAA D1 MENS. That leaves out a lot of games in other divisions and gender

The Convocation Center in Athens is currently the 5th most checked into arena on the site with 770 check-ins. Woohoo haha.

Cool site. I've seen 58 Bobcat wins.

this doesn't include the preseason NIT games at MSG.

I love that site. Since I'm a perfectionist, I spent a lot of time trying to cross-reference whatever I could to make sure I remembered which games I had been to, though there are some years I know I saw a certain number of games but am not sure of exactly which ones.

I show a total of 332 games right now, though I e-mailed the site folks and am waiting for them to fix some games/dates so I can enter them in my history. I was fortunate to cover basketball several years for a newspaper, which is why my number's so high. I'm fortunate to count 12 OU games in the past two-plus seasons, considering I live in Cincinnati.

Looking forward to "checking in" on the site every time I hit a game in the future.

I heard the creator of this site on ESPN 1000 out of Chicago last night during a Bulls' broadcast. He is going to 30 NBA games in 30 days in all 29 arenas. No games scheduled on Thanksgiving day but he makes up for it with a Clippers-Lakers double header one day.

I wanted to bump this, in part because I'm the "featured traveler" of the day on the Basketball Passport home page.

How many of you are using the site? For fun, I wonder who on the board may have logged the most games. I’m at 346 (345 of which are NCAA games).

I have been in contact with the guy running the site, Peter Robert Casey; I noticed some games that needed correcting. He’s the guy who did the 30 NBA arenas in 30 days. (!) He’s a good guy. They’ll be launching Hardball Passport next month for MLB, and later this year he plans to launch a NFL/NCAA football site and an NHL site, then tie them all together in a mobile app.

I  that site. Spread the word, because I really want to see it thrive!
