Been hard on him on year but WOW! Lead the team today. Single handily brought us back from 18 down with his energy. Shame we couldn't finish it off but credit is deserved here. heck of a game.

With TJ as gimpy as he is, we'll need to rely a lot on Setty down the stretch.  He's tough and confident and he brings the kind of energy we need from our point guards. Bean seems lifeless out there and Stevie's too hurt to bring much energy, so it's good to see Setty bring it on.

We will get by.
We will get by.
We will get by.
We will survive.

The four in our group had an added incentive to root for Treg yesterday.  He's a friend of one of the student teachers at the university preschool where my granddaughters go.  He came to one of the preschool classes yesterday and talked with the kids and then played basketball with them.  My granddaughter told me that he sat on one of those little preschool chairs and "tried to steal our basketballs when we were shooting."  The kids made a good luck poster for him and he took it to the Convo to hang in the locker room.  This wasn't one of those orchestrated all team or all department visits but a young man going to a preschool at the request of a friend to spend some time with a bunch of 3 to 5 year olds.

My granddaughter is vey particular about what she wears and getting her to wear green last night would usually be a challenge.  When her mom told her that Treg would want her to wear green to the game, she immediately put on her green shirt that she got from being in the volleyball little Bobcat Club.  And finally the highlight of the night was during introductions when I asked her to point out Treg to me.  She looked at the court and said "he's the tall boy standing next to the short boy" (Stevie Taylor) and pointed to him.  A priceless experience and a visit that was truly appreciated.

Thanks for sharing that, too often lost by many of us is the experience and the impact that these athletes can have on the community, and the youth!

He should have been in down the stretch of that game.  Aggressive, taking it to the hoop, making great passes, and all around energy all while Ndour was not the same player we have seen the rest of this year. I think it was a mistake by Christian to take Setty out for Ndour.

+1 to Treg. As much grief as he has received on this board this year, he showed last night that he can bring it. We are going to need that as injured as we are. Also, I loved that 3 pointer he hit. If he can put that in his repertoire, a frontcourt of Setty at the 3, Mo at the 4, and Smith at the 5 would be fun.

Agreed on Setty.  Played his best game in green & white last night.  It's unfortunate that OUr team has so many hobbled players right now.  N'Dour, Taylor, and Hall and the injuries they're being nagged by are making a noticeable difference.  Our team could really use that 4th seed to get some rest & healing time in.

Wow! Both the Akron game and last night he has become a totally different, aggressive player. A past comment I made about his shooting form --- His release point is at the right ear --- I prefer the old Oscar Robertson model shot, but I give Treg credit, lately he's hit a few 3s with this style --- Then last week I watched OKC and Derek Fischer shoots that way too, very successfully, so, go for it Treg, and keep that foot on the gas, we love it!

Seriously, I am starting to like his game too.  And during the comeback I looked at the bench and nic and ndour were sitting.  The bench did a stellar job last night.

Now we just need some "consistency".  Oh, did someone say that wasnt important?  Still, if only we could play two halves (like vs Akron) as opposed to one half (vs Buffs).

I said it at the beginning, the game just needs to slow down a little for him and it finally is.  He's always given full effort and in some instances too much effort.  I'm a big fan.   I would love to have seen him in more at the end of the game although I understand why Christian didn't have him in there.

The more I think about it, I think the reason Treg had such a good game was because he drove to the hoop and not only did he do it he did it with confidence. Can we think of anyone else who has consistently tried to drive and attack players during the game? offensively I think this is our biggest problem. We have no one who can penetrate and its killing us. All of our success and runs come off the fast break. We have no half court game. our half court game is passing the ball inside for a back down or passing it for a three. nobody drives to the hoop. That would open up soooooo much for this team. Ndour has been doing it more recently which has pleased me. Also makes me wonder if he or JC reads this site because he started doing it right after I posted it :p

Anyone catch the radio broadcast last night?

"The 'Peebles' Champion"

Pretty funny.

Agree that Treg sparked the rally last night with his fearless drives to the basket.  Kid is willing to get hacked by the McCreas of the world.  I love that.

I've gotta think that the reason Treg wasn't in at the end of the game, was that Jon was in big foul trouble, and we had to have Mo guarding McCrea.

Would love to see Mo drive to the basket more.

Our opponents' "go to" play when they need to make something happen has been for one of the strong ball handlers to drive to hole. We have not been able to stop this at all.  Setty actually was able to stop that play several times Wednesday night against the Bulls.

I liked Setty early on and I still like him.  I think he has done what he has been asked to do.
