I don't see it either. And I didn't see a mention of it in the game notes for either team

Scottie....I see it listed on Direct TV Channel 642. Not sure if it requires ESPN Fullcourt. It is a Comcast Channel so maybe not.

This is the press release I received earlier this week regarding ESPN3:

Sunday's Men’s Basketball Game At Richmond To Air On ESPN3

The Bobcats and Spiders will tip at 1 p.m. from the Robins Center in Richmond, Va.

ATHENS, Ohio – Sunday’s Ohio men’s basketball game at Richmond will be broadcast live on ESPN3, the network announced Tuesday.

The Bobcats and Spiders will face off live on Dec. 22 at 1 p.m. in the Robins Center. It will mark just the second all-time meeting between the teams. Ohio defeated the Spiders, 73-48, last season inside the Convocation Center.

In addition to Sunday’s contest, Ohio will have at least six and as many as 10 Mid-American Conference games televised. The televised MAC slate begins on January 8 when Ohio will play at Kent State on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel. All Time Warner games will be offered for inclusion on the ESPN Family of Networks.

Ohio (7-2) returns to action Wednesday at 7 p.m. against No. 22/20 Massachusetts (9-0). Coverage on the Ohio IMG Sports Network begins at 6:30 p.m.

Ted,

I noticed the headline on the front page earlier in the week, but when I hit the link it said the page didn't exist and said return to the main athletic page. So maybe there was a miscommunication between ESPN and the athletic department. I know sometimes ESPN 3 doesn't list a game until a few minutes before it starts.

Indeed, see below. Sorry for the confusion. Some sort of notification would have been nice.

Ted,

No problem. Yes, a little heads-up from them would have been nice especially since they were the people who told you it would be on in the first place and then didn't tell you it wouldn't be on.

The game is showing on firstrow. Make sure you install an ad-blocker first.

I'm watching the $7.95 webcast and the technical quality is very good.  Looks nice full screen and hasn't "buffered" once.

You were the one yelling that you wanted to pay for a webfeed.,,in the big scheme of things 7 bucks is a lot cheapre than the gas most paid to get there, concessions they bought while attending and the price of a ticket. More than I want to pay so I  just listen to the radio. Priced themselves out of my market

Yeah... Richmond can charge $7 for one game and we give ours away. That's what I'm saying here. I don't think we need to charge that much, but we can totally do a pay feed that offers better quality.

We should definitely charge for our feed.  Just charge a nominal per game amount.  How about per game $1.00 or $1.84 (or $1.00 for most games and $1.84 for MAC games and quality opponents).  The revenue wouldn't be much, I imagine, but any little bit counts and we need to establish that there is value.

Maybe we need to pay to have the right score showing, or the game & shot clocks, or a second camera so one of them can pan the crowd after a bucket.  I realize that those who are volunteering to put the webcast together are doing their best, but when I see better quality webcasts from other schools for free on their websites, I wonder why we can't do the same, given that we have an outstanding broadcasting school on campus that could at least provide technical assistance.

If only the university had courses on broadcast production, where students could get some hands-on experience.

I like the free feed. Even though the quality is lower its still watchable. Very few people want to pay to watch MAC basketball.

It's not watchable in full screen or even half screen. Unacceptable.
