Except, I'm being serious.

Boston College's program has fallen apart. It's inevitable that they'll be moving on from Steve Donahue, and I could see them being very interested in a former assistant that's built built a fledgling D1 program right down the road into a competitive program.

Anybody else see this as a possible fit?

TOS has done a very good job at Bryant. I would guess he is apt to stay, but the the BC Jon was offered, im guessing that he would grab it.

If he was going to make a move, this would it, right? But maybe he truly is happy at Bryant and really doesn't want to go anywhere else.

Even Oscar Robertson?

Not sure what you are fishing for but Oscar is present at most practices and games according to the players I know. He takes on a mentoring role for UC. He is highly regarded by players in the system,,,,,

But that's more recent. His relationship with UC used to be a lot more contentious. Maybe I'm actually helping your point.

I believe is offered he takes it. Why? big conference, more money, demonstrate to all the Ohio fans that basically pushed him out that he can over come some adversity. All assistants go with him except Al.
I say good luck to him. It won't be as easy to turn the BC program around as it was Bryant. If I was him I would stay put. He probably could get an contract extension for 5-7 years with a nice pay raise. He lives in Barrington RI, about 20 minutes from campus. Plus there is little pressure in the Bryant program to perform compared to what the BC program would expect.

I doubt he thinks about Ohio and especially its fans much at all.

Absolutely zero chance BC is interested in O'Shea.  Sure they were 19-12 last year, but I don't see that repeating this year.  Also, 19-12 in the Northeast conference isn't a huge resume builder.  They're 8-7 this year, will likely end up around 16-16.  They just lost to Binghampton.  And let's not forget they were 20-99 in his first 4 seasons.

Can you imagine the press release?  "Boston College of the ACC hires Tim Oshea, 51 years old and current head coach at Bryant of the Northeast conference where he amassed a record of 50-130 in 6 seasons."
