No webcast, as always, nice way to sell a program.  Of course, this is the same athletic department that pays a concession vendor who can't have hot coffee 15 minutes into the football game last week.  I guess I just don't understand how hard it is to just show video of this.

Here is the link to the Akron site where you can watch their exhibition game or listen to it if you like.

I think Miami had access to their exhibition via their premium package.

Are we sure this game won't be on the stretch tv feed? Haven't they put exhibition games on in the past?

I would really, really, enjoy watching this game.

I am pretty sure they have had a feed for the past couple years exhibition games. No commentary, just a camera feed.

I really hope that is the case again. I look forward to seeing our new guys in action. Can't be too difficult to set up, right?

I am not so sure, I feel like the bitching and moaning over not having a free service for a meaningless game has been an early November tradition that rivals leaves and pumpkins.  #ThinkBitchy

FWIW, I don't think Xavier has a webcast for their exhibition games either, at least they didn't when I was there and don't seem to this year. They are thinking big in the Big East.

I'd be all in to watch. Then again I'm not going to throw my toys if it doesn't happen.

The concessions ineptness is so common an issue over the years (Convo and Peden) - I think "#small" and just leaving out the "think" more appropriate............including "think" could lead you to assume that someone may have actually used a cognitive function...........

I predict a post or thread about some concession issue at the N Iowa game right now - just wait and see................

I fail to see why this post is drawing so much heat.

If we consider our program to be bigtime, then why is a vidcast too much to ask for?

Same with hot drinks through the whole of a football game.

I'd have to think it's more effort than cash to make these things happen.  It just can't take that much cash for hot drinks and for a vidcast,  NIU provided quite a good vidcast of their volleyball last weekend (vs. the 'Cats).

Is everyone here that small-minded?  How can you want us to be so bigtime yet have such low expectations.

I think more people agreed with him than disagreed. I know I do. I want to watch this! It think it could even encourage season ticket sales.

Monroe and others,

These kinds of topics get attention because people come to their own belief in small mindedness from 2 different directions.

Some say small mindedness is accepting lower standards of things that have will not have a major impact on life--no hot coffee and no free video feed.

Others say small mindedness is worrying about things that will not have a major impact on life--no hot coffee and no free video feed.

I wish there was hot coffee and free video feed but they didn't happen.  I don't like being called small minded because of my lack of outrage.  In return I call someone else small minded for his beliefs and he does not like being called small minded either.  Now it is personal, as gets reflected in the back and forth nature of the posts, and not about the real issue which we can all agree to..It would be great if we had hot coffee and a video feed of an exhibition game.

Bob Dylan summed it up years ago in Tangled Up In Blue-"We always did feel the same, We just saw it from a different point of view"

KVK followed it up just a few years ago when he said something like this: "I can dunk I just have more important things to do"

This is my mea culpa for letting the anonymity of various social media make me forget that real human discourse is about understanding the other point of view and having the ability to mutually problem solve a common issue using that understanding.

Count me on the 9704 bandwagon. Pumped about the season, excited to see the new kids, and... Nothing. But we will have a webcast for volleyball at 6, so the equipment is there, out, and set up for this evening. Incremental cost to stream (no commentary) basketball has to be next to nil. A couple hours of time from a probably-unpaid student.

On the other hand, I recognize these are both good problems. Hot drinks are harder to keep fresh and available because of our success and crowd size. More people than ever are excited to watch an exhibition. We aren't at Kansas-level exhibitions on local TV demand, but that kind of complaint is a good thing... There is interest.

Arkley tweeted that Bean is out today for a one game suspension. Does anyone know why?

He also said N. Kellogg had been playing some PG in practice, and would likely today also.
