One of the consequences will the possibility of using a complicated tie-breaker system.  With a first round bye into the conference tourney on the line the nuances of the tie-breaker could loom large. The tie breakers were pretty clear in the old structure but will have some twists in the new structure.  I know there is no absolutely perfect tie breaker system when you play different opponents or play some teams a different number of time and I am sure the league has thought all the possibilities through but with the following scheduling none of the teams in either division have the same opponents the same number of times.    If I remember correctly the top 4 teams in the tourney will be without regard to the record so that takes the variable of a weak division out of the equation.

Anyhow, if someone can point me to the right place to read about the decision and the tie-breaker system or if someone can just enlighten me and others here that would be terrific.
