Despite all the media there for the final four, apparently Dave Skreeta of the AP was the only reporter covering it.  Not even the Atlanta Constitution had a story.  Anyway, congrats, DJ.  Hope to catch it tomorrow on CBS.

Just finished watching the game on CBS.  He had lots of energy, a couple of great no-look passes and of course his signature pull-up three.  The announcers were tripping over each other in praising him and were oohing and ahhing over the things we'd gotten used to over the past four years.  They kept mentioning that the team had more energy with him in there and that the West would pull close when he was out but then DJ got back in the game and the East would regain control.  Great to see him one last time at this level.

I was hoping for the same thing.  The Washington, DC CBS affiliate now carries Nationals' games so we didn't get to see it.

In a way to market its products within the game, Hershey's went a tad overboard:

Cooper was named Most Valuable (Reese's) Pieces.

Guards were called fun-sized.

Point guards were called minis.

Transition baskets were Fast Break Bars.

All dunks considered "Nutrageous"

Also: Reese’s® Peanut Butter Cups are the official candy partner of the NCAA.

That last one I didn't make up. Somehow, that's a real thing.

Since there was no real geographic delineation in the teams, instead of East and West, I thought they should have been Chocolate and Peanut Butter.

Finally had a chance to watch the game last night.   Unlike most all star games most players looked like they were trying to play defense.   D.J. could have had about 20 assists in the game if it weren't for the terrible shooting.  He had about six or seven passes that only a handful of players would have even seen the opening.   He really was the difference in the game.  I actually think the West had better players but they didn't have a distributor or as Fred Hoiberg said "that sparkplug."   When the game started D.J. wasn't even on the announcers radar. By games' end he was all they were talking about.  Really good exposure for him.   Zeke Marshall was a cypher.

I doubt D.J. gets drafted but I'd love to see him have an opportunity to play in the Summer League in Vegas.  I think even we don't fully appreciate his ability to create.

I was keeping track of the game situation in my head as the game went along.  I think the only time the East's lead shrunk while DJ was on the floor was during the last three or four minutes of the game, and that was because the West began fouling down the stretch, which kept DJ's playmaking ability out of the game.  Almost every time he came in the lead was less than five points but when he sat down they had a double digit lead.  He really made good things happen.
