No more DJ. No more Walt. No more Reggie.

And for it to end like it did these last two games... it just sucks. I won't be watching any more NCAA basketball this season.

This was a tough season to swallow.  However, the fact that this senior class is finished at Ohio depresses me more than any loss ever could.

At least we have great memories.

I plan on re watching the NCAA games from last year within the next week to remind me not to get too down.

It was a good year. It's a good sign that there's some disappointment. Last year was the first year I followed CLOSELY (MAC tourney 2010 were the first games I watched) & now I'm sold for life. Hopefully other students feel that way as well.

What a day at the Convo.....Wow!

You're right; it hurts so much because they accomplished so much.

I'm proud to be a Bobcat. I love my school. I love my team. Saturday didn't change that, tonight doesn't change that.

Go Ohio.

I'm with JSF. It's just a total bummer. Not hating on anyone or diminishing any accomplishments, but it sucks.

So does loving your school and your team dictate that you are to never speak an unpopular or even unwanted truth unless you follow the masses that do the same thing?

Are you sheep?

Do you not dare that the program becomes more and more elevated each year?

Or do you just compare our school's track record with the likes of Central Michigan, Northern Illinois etc. and feel we are "elite" compared to those programs so that's good enough to turn a blind eye to anything that we could and/or should have been or will be but wasn't or won't be on the national scale?

Me too. I don't think I've ever had a sports loss hurt more than this one and I think it's because I feel so bad for such awesome seniors to go out this way.

If you think I blasted him for saying he loves his school and his team then you were lost before you clicked on the link.

An honest man not trying to rip a senior class that gave us way more "up's" then "down's". +1   I really thought this team would find themselves again by March.  Watching DJ run the floor made me appreciate basketball a lot more.  When he was locked in, the sky was the limit with him.  He really was an artist out there.  I hope to watch him in the NBA someday.  Not sure we'll ever see anybody with such talent.

I'll tell ya where we'll go. Someplace warm. A place where the beer flows like wine. Where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano. I'm talkin' bout a little place called... ATHENS.

I agree with JSF.  So proud of all the seniors and the whole team.  But I just have this weird, empty, sad feeling thinking about Coop and the other seniors never playing for Ohio again.  I find myself not being very excited at all for March Madness this year which is always my favorite time of year.

Ohio fans have had some tough loses in the last year - NC Sweet 16 game, Miami football loss, all 3 Akron games and then to end our season like this.

However, it has been great to see the Bobcat Nation of fans rise and get behind these teams. Ohio teams need their fans to support the talent, to help them acheive where I believe our programs are moving towards. GO OHIO!!

Bleed Green and GO OHIO!!

I can't tell if you're being deliberately obtuse or if your anger over the Christian hire is getting in the way of your reading comprehension.

Either way, there are very few people here claiming this season didn't contain plenty of disappointments. Instead, there's just dozens of people who completely disagree with you regarding how OU can take that next step, and what it fundamentally means to do so. You think failing to follow up a Sweet 16 run with another Sweet 16 run is a monumental failure and indicates that we have regressed; others recognize--correctly, I should add--that taking the next step is a long, slow process that requires organizational culture change and financial commitment. Losing to Akron 3 times this year doesn't negate the strides that have been made towards those ends, nor do your overly simplistic views on Christian's coaching acumen.

Where the hell did he even imply that?   Yes, it's okay to voice a negative opinion.    You seem to be saying that every opinion needs to be negative or you are sheep.  Are you saying that since we lost two basketball games that you aren't proud to be a Bobcat, love our school or love the team?    If you can't appreciate this senior class just because they didn't match your expectations then you really need to check your priorities.   My guess is that in about ten years you will be ripping the team that we are putting on the floor and waxing nostalgic about this team.

I'm far from depressed. We had a great year and this year's NCAA is the most wide open it's ever been. It should be fun to watch. It's the first day of spring, where hope springs eternal. The sun is out, my shoes are shined and there's a melody in my heart!

LOL, well played, although it seems that by reading this board lately that we should be storming the castle instead of shining our shoes.
