Listened to long time in the room guy Greg Shaheen on the radio today.

Podcast is up on 1070 and well worth the listen . Do not know how much they put up of the entire segment but he covered a lot of realted topics like Creighton leaving MVC and effects, WCC schedule and how it affects St mary s / zags. :;pts of insight into the process.

Best discussion I have heard in a long time.

edit....it is a long segment ...I just listened to it again but it is chock full of great info as to what goes on inside the room.

Greg Shaheen 3/13/13

Off the topic, but hoop-centric for you, borna....I saw the Memphis Grizzlies-Clippers game tonight.  Marc Gasol has skills and I love Zach Randolph's game.  But Blake Griffin kept getting passed the ball facing the hoop from 10-16 feet from the hoop and having no idea of what to do with it, not thinking at all of scoring.  He's developed a bit of a shot but showed no one-step moves to try to get to the rim.  I mean he didn't even fake/jab to the rim.  He just looked to pass it.  And he wasn't being guarded closely on a lot of this.  This upset me.

I went to the refrigerator.

Maybe that is why they were not guarding closely Further off the topic....
  • Zach is from Marion IN, the same conference as Muncie Central. I admire his hoops skills but he is an idiot off the court. Played for the same AAU coach as Tommy. Stories are off the chain. A few years back at a Muncie Central Marion game I was walking across the court afterward as I looked to the right I saw Zach bent down to sign an autograph. Out of the back of his pants shone a very large handgun. Like. who brings a gun to a ball game? He and his bro were picked up a few weeks later in a gun related incedent at a bar at 3 am. Still, he is coming into his own in the league and still perfecting his game. Memphis is a good fit. Fellow Hoosier raised Mike Conley seems to be a good influence

At least on the court, Randolph has great hands.

I've read Zach is less of a knucklehead off the court now.

Probably won't get to listening to it for a couple days- pretty busy this week!
