Joe Lunardi has posted a summer bracketology and projects Ohio as a No. 11 seed, playing Cincinnati, in Dayton. That projection would have Ohio right in the mix with the final at-large teams in the field, not that any of this matters. Also of note, Memphis is projected as  No. 4, Northern Iowa as a No. 13 (in a play-in game) and Robert Morris is projected as a No. 15.

Also, hadn't looked at the tournament sites before. Aside from Dayton, there also is Lexington and Detroit that would be pretty short trips for many Ohio fans. Other sites next year are Philadelphia, Kansas City, Austin, Salt Lake City and San Jose.

While it's nice to keep tabs on how ESPN, and especially Joe Lunardi, feels about the Cats, I feel like worrying about Bracketology this early is pointless. Until we play through the regular season, we'll never know if we even get a bid, be it at large or what.

Just Lunardi justifying his paycheck in July.  About like Jerry Palm and his bowl projections on CBSsports.com during March or April.

Good PR, though. I like it. So do recruits.

Stevie Taylor noticed and tweeted about this, so yeah, I'd say the guys notice.

It really is distracting from all the other meaningful and interesting threads that are so active right now.

For some reason, Lunardi says he doesn't like Ohio as much now as he did in April.

Long season and hope the MAC gets multiple bids with Ohio and Akron to show that the MAC is back.   Hope the Bobcats stay healthy and have a great season where they return to the NCAA tournament and win a couple games again to show that its wasn't a fluke and its because we had great team and our new coach is just as good as the old coach.

I am so juiced! I wish I had a fairy godmother who could transport me to Selection Sunday 2013!

Golly gee, Gia, I'm giddy with excitement too!  Don't know if a fairy godmother could help us, but Stephen King maybe if 11-22-63 means anything.

Isn't that the book where a time traveler tries to prevent the firing of Larry Hunter?
