Kind of hard to convince a kid that you are in it for the long haul when you've got one foot out the door. If he was even going to be an assistant coach at the NBA level I could understand but a guy looking to be a scout for an NBA team would make me think twice.  They aren't going to fire him but nearly walking away after one year as a D1 coach is going to make his recruiting job a little tougher.
