Seems pretty sudden and late in the process to announce this to me.  According to the presser, said he wants to play at a BCS school.  Makes me ask/wonder why he didn't go to one in the beginning?  Is there one that would want him now?

“We wish Julius well in his future endeavors,” Donlon said.

I'm beginning to think there's some cut and paste kit for sports information depts that includes the "future endeavors" thing.

So he's switching sports, too?  Gonna play a little football!

Notes: Redshirt the 2010-11 season after transferring from North Carolina State...a native of Marion, Indiana...

there were 3 pg s splitting time at NC State under the old coach. Mays was caught up in the shuffle and got out.

When I talked to him last year at the OHIO Wright game he was sidelined with a concussion. He said the locker room is a mess which was later reiterated to me by another present players family. Donlon has some strange dynamics going on there so it does not surprise me that Julius wants to play his last year some where else. He will graduate on time in June and has the year left to go where he wants.

I wouldn't complain if he were playing for Mick Cronin next year.

May be a voice of experience inthe locker room and though Julius is a personal friend I don't see him getting a ton of run unless, like Brandon Wood, a season ending injury to the guard ahead of him happens..... Just MHO. NOt sure Cal is getting everything he was looking for here. . but it does bring us full circle to the original question
