Does anyone know how much we earned by getting to the Sweet Sixteen this year?

but the NCAA pays our travel expenses, room/board, etc, so the athletic department isn't out the cash it would have cost us to participate in the NIT/CBI/CIT.

The payouts are done over a five year period or something like that so while we only receive $40K this year we also are receiving payouts for four other years as well.  At least, that's my understanding.

I believe it is a 6 year period.

Also, there is some question about the amount of this years $5.7 million purse for the MAC that Ohio will receive.  if it is half (which has been stated), that would mean that the payout for this year would be $475k, plus whatever we receive from the other 5 years involved with the payout.

We won't receive half.    Doesn't bother me though.

It should bother you.  The fact that we are not getting AT LEAST half is beyond ridiculous.  You know that feeling you have the next day after you did a shuffle on Court?  Yeah, I get that thinking about how NIU, CMU, and Miami are going to get a piece of the money that the MAC only received because of our efforts.  Absolutely disgusting.

Heck, I would settle for 25% compared to what they are going to do. Per Arkley a week or so ago the Tournament money is split evenly. It's the TV money that is split based on performance and such things.

Now THAT is disgusting

That's fantastic news! Wake me up when there's some TV money to share.
