I hadn't seen this mentioned before, but, noticed it in the latest issue of Ohio Today. Lloyd Buck passed away this past October. A member of the 63-64 elite eight team usually giving Hilt or Haley a breather.

 His obituary is at http://tinyurl.com/77qgx5t
One helluva a man. I remember him (fondly now) pushing me all over the key during scrimmages and practice.

(FWIW: I was a member of the 62-63 freshman team and a non-scholarship invitee for the 63-64 team. I did not make that team, just not good enough.)

I clicked the link and read the obit.  It was most interesting to catch up on the life of a man that I only remember from his Bobcat basketball days. He was sort of the first guy off the bench, who while not a star was a key cog in the team and part of what made it such a great one.  It was sad to know that he had died.  I left a short message of condolence on the web site.  Thanks for posting.

Funny how often you read an obit and feel a connection you didn't know you had.   He was survived by a daughter, but had a deceased son.. . .and. . . .his '63-'64 NCAA trip was my senior year in high school when OHIO defeated UK.  I spent the next 4 years at UK. (I know, it's the UK so many of you love to hate!)
Thanks for posting about Mr. Buck.
