Maybe I am assuming people are taking Groce leaving lightly and tho I have questions some of his situational coaching this season he had the greatest season ever! I don't see any Basketball office sit-in's or anything of that nature..is the current student body just letting this happen?? I don't think Coach is reading the papers or checking out Tweets much less facebook or this message board. Ozone lets step up and get 100-500 over to Coaches office and show him how much he means to this program. A new coach at this time honestly I think will be a HUGE step backwards...who will let DJ be DJ?? Those guys feed off Groce you can just see it. Also the current recruits..are they locked in stone yet??

No no, he has it from a very reliable source that no one seems to care in Athens and that Coach Groce is waiting to see if the entire campus shows up. If not every single student from the 20,000+ campus is there by morning, then he is just saying "sorry but it's been real" and leaving just like that.

The opposing team sucks!

Hold it. It's not like he's being fired. If he leaves, it's for more money -- not a better job where he's going to be better appreciated. If he's read any of the comments on this board, he knows how much he is wanted at Ohio. And if he's seen any of the media reports or comments from Illinois, he knows the snake pit he's walking into there. This isn't about love, it's about money, his career and what he perceives to be best for his family. Unless you have a throng of people camp in front of his house and sing "Stay" (The Temptations or Jackson Browne), I'm not sure it'll do much good.
