For you long time fans of OU basketball, which is worse, JG leaving or Danny Nee?

JG . . . he's a better coach and seemed to have more genuine love for the area, as did his family.  Danny, though a good coach, never took us as far, and always seemed a little out of sorts in our small town.  The hatred that his wife had for Athens was something of legend at the time.  He, overall, was not a "good fit" for Athens in the long term.  JG appeared as though he might be.  So losing him would hurt much more.

I'd say Nee. He gave 6 years to us and took us to 2 NCAA berths and an NIT. Better win-loss percentage than JG. Was a natural on campus interacting with the students. And I don't think we saw as much turnover from players leaving.

And as I posted a few minutes ago -- it seems JG hasn't told the players yet  which is major blunder IMO. The players deserved to hear it first hand from the coach and not through the media.

First, I've followed and loved JG in March!  Been to Nashville and St. Louis.  But, seriously, our best finish has been a  third in the East.  Of course Marches have been great but Nee was a guy that got us back on the road to winning big after being in the wilderness.  I guess much like JG.

They will both be remembered fondly!
