Thanks for what you've done for the program and the excitement you've brought over the past few years. Good luck in Illinois. When you're in Chicago, let me know and we'll grab lunch at the Billy Goat Tavern.

You'll be missed Coach! Thanks for the great 4 years here and thanks for leaving us on solid ground. I hope you have great success at Illinois. They aren't worthy of you, but I'll be rooting for you all the same.

Not going to lie, this one stings. In the back of my mind, I let myself believe that Coach Groce would not let himself walk into a dysfunctional situation like Illinois. But money talks and I can't blame him for taking the cash. I really hope he finds success and happiness in Champaign.

Even with everyone coming back next year (maybe), my optimism has gone down a notch. Coach Groce was the leader of this bunch and I don't believe that anyone can just jump into this situation and lead OHIO to the NCAA Tournament. There are no guarantees. You still have to coach these guys and motivate. Groce was pretty damn good at this.

I'm going to savor what I witnessed in person last weekend in St. Louis. It took 50 years for us to make it back to the Sweet 16. I hope it doesn't take that long for it to happen again.

Good luck Coach Groce and thank you for taking OHIO to the NEXT LEVEL.
