I remember the day he got let go, I was in the car driving from Cincinnati back to my parents in NE Ohio, and I was listening to some sports talk station. They were saying how there is no reason that UK shouldn't be a national title contender every season and they were gonna throw whatever kind of money they could find at Cal. They had him in mind before Billy G. was even given the walking papers. These people down here in the bluegrass are a different breed, similar to the sheep up in Columbus when it comes to Buckeye football or those down in Alabama when it comes to the Tide.
