Anecdote:  Today before the game I stopped into a K-Mart in Millegeville, Ga.  The checkout clerk saw my Ohio gear and said, "You guys have a big game tonight."  I said yes we do.  He knew that Marshall was not going to play and said as a result, "You guys have got a chance."  He then talked about what a good player DJ Cooper is.  Now, if DJ's known in a little town in Georgia, it seems to me he's on his way to becoming a household name.   It made my Ohio green heart feel really good and real proud.

Right before the game we ate a a Chinese restaurant. If OHIO wins, I'll let you guys and gals know what my fortune said.

At the half, he is the second best point guard on the floor behind some kid from UNC who is playing for the first time tonight.  Hopefully, second half is much better.

Are you high? Catch the ball and we are up 6. He gets tired of setting people up only to have them fumble the ball away Then HIS shot is affected 2nd half  will be different nothing to lose

Cooper had a rough game but is a good player and a big reason Ohio was playing tonight.

Potstirred, he shot 15% from the field. You're telling us its because of a few mishandled passes. He played a horrible game. Had no pressure on a PG who hardly ever plays. I don't think he turned the kid over once. But then again when you're five feet away from him it's hard to steal the ball.

The man had an off game.  It happens to the best of players.  He's still our spark plug.  I'll bet he'll have an outstanding senior year next.  As Shaka said, we've got everybody back.   I'm as upset as anyone, but let's not start eating our young.   We could have won in regulation several ways at the end, but we missed shots and made a few bad decisions.  We'll be better next year.  GO OHIO!

And that's when your pg / floor general should realize it's not his night and set up the guys who are hot. We had two guys who were beyond hot, and he should have made sure he got them the ball. That's what I want the greatest PG of all time to do.

Here's a question:

If Cooper's shot to end regulation had gone in, what would you have done?

I'm trying to figure out just what would've happened. I'm kind of afraid of that answer. I think running down the middle of the street would've been in order.

PG73 is retarded and I should no better than to respond to idiots, but I am going to anyone...

He didn't not play is best tonight, his shooting was bad, but he was still effective...

+ He had 6 assists and would have had at least 10 if bigs had finished
+ He constantly broke down the defense in the 2nd half, that lead to second and third passes, after UNC got out of position that led to 3's
+ He played off the UNC point guard all night on purpose - this was obvious to anyone that has played before. The stilman kid was afraid to shoot or drove. By playing off he could help others, sag to clog passing and cutting lanes.

We didn't lose because of any one player or play (offut FT). People trying to pin something on one player or play are not intelligent.

+ 1 amen...... I had my moments of doubt with coop this year, but I won't blame him for anything tonight, but I'll give him credit for how far we came this season. Incoopwetrust.

Hate to disappoint you Bhugh24 but I'm not retarded and I'm sure I've played more basketball than most people you know. Not pinning loss on anybody, just want my PG to play a smart game. And if you're not blaming anyone why bring up Walts missed free throw. DJ is a good player, but when you're playing the number one seed and have a chance to win you have to value every possession. I'm old school and that's the way I was taught. I don't agree with everything people say on this site, but I don't  say they're retarded or they're an idiot.

I mentioned Walt to point out that you were wrong to pin the loss on one person, DJ, when there were countless reasons we we took it to overtime and countless reasons we lost.

If you really had played that much basketball, or had ever played PG, you'd know how many plays he set-up tonight and how well he played team defense.

He shot terribly, but shooting isn't everything, and you over-simplified his performance.

I take back that you are retarded and an idiot. I don't agree with your statements at all and question your evaluation of basketball.

I might have run down the street to the tatoo parlor naked...if I had other BOBCATS here to egg me on in the event of a victory that is.

We aren't in this position without DJ...flat out.  DJ is a special player and he's one of the biggest reasons we almost got to the Elite 8 tonight.  He's got the perfect swagger and his teammates feed off of it.  I love the kid...I'm so happy he's a Bobcat!

I literally had to be picked up off the floor by my friends and family when that shot rimmed out. I fell like a ton of bricks (with a twisted ankle and a nasty floor burn on my knee to show for it). Had it gone in, I probably would've passed out on the spot.
