I rarely call people Douches but ....oh heck.....calling a philly guy especially a Temple guy a douche is redundant.

Any chance that all (150 or so ?) of the 110 will be at the game?

My understanding is that the NCAA pays for a certain number of "pep band" members to attend a game with equal amount of tickets allocated to each school for the the section for the band. There would be no room for more of them to attend.  It is an extremely fun time for the travelers as the NCAA isn't cheap when it comes to taking care of them with fat daily spending dough.

The pep band is determined by accumulating points for attending home games of women's and men's basketball games.  Highest point achievers have first crack at the MAC Tourney and subsequent games.  There are almost 220 in the 110 and about 90 regularly play in the winter.  Other than a few changes by students opting out, the students that went to Nashville are the same ones going to St. Louis.

Please, someone post that video on the Temps site along with our disappointment in not having them around to kick any longer.

For those that were not in Nashville, the 110 did not let us down!  I am hoping that some more videos get posted on youtube in the coming days.  They received multiple ovations from the crowd and by half way through the first half against South Florida the entire arena was locked in on them when they played.  Of course it is no surprise to us.  I had an usher tell me that our team and our band were the two highlights of the weekend.  I have yet to see a pep band that comes anywhere near what ours does. They are outstanding and every time I hear another pep band play the same 5 or 6 songs that every other pep band plays, I laugh at them. OHIO!

I thought USF's band was okay (despite their sheet music). Florida State and Michigan's bands also used sheet music.

Michigan's band was especially lame. Every time it was their turn to play a song they just switched between Hail to the Victors, and the High School Band song. That was it.

Did the band play on the court during a halftime last weekend in Nashville? If so, that must have been special for the fans witnessing the 110 for the first time.

I miss that yearly halftime show in the Convo.

Yup!  Since our dance team didn't travel, we still had a 4:00 time slot at halftime open for the "Ohio Spirit Team," which we decided should be the band and cheerleaders.  Friday night we did Long Train, complete with the tubas dancing, and Sunday we did Party Rock Anthem, with Rufus joining the percussion in doing some shuffling!

Video from Sunday (I think this will work):

I loved how the 110 and much of the Ohio section chanted "High School Band!" at the end of the High School band song you mentioned.  Classic band heckling.

Was still getting positive reactions about the Band on Monday after the game.  I was walking around downtown and had one lady stop me and say that she thought our band was awesome.  She had been at WildHorse for dinner and followed them down the street to the arena to keep watching them perform.

Had several other people comment about the team, and the band throughout the day.

Props to the 110!

You know what Frank Solich likes most about coaching in the MAC? While he gets older, his coaching competition stays the same age, man.
