All I can hear in my head is Gus Johnson's call "Heart Break City" over and over and here's why:
  • 26-56 rebounds is UNREAL, I'd have told our guys to box them out so far that the ball actually hits the ground before you step back towards the hoop to grab the rebound.
  • None of us will ever know what it feels like to be Walt tonight. He will remember that free throw for the rest of his life - no matter how many people tell him he shouldn't.
  • Cooper was ice cold and trigger happy, tho defensively he was great, maybe that was just cuz Stillman was so awful.
  • Watching Clark Kellogg get teary eyed watching the end of the game made me want to ball my eyes out
  • Smith was our only defensive paint presence, that kid is an animal
  • Groce is an incredibly good coach and person, I mark coach success like a CEO - not in how well the team survives, but how much they grow, and our players have shown great growth
  • If we hadn't beat Akron by 1, we wouldn't have had any of this exposure, and no one would be saying how we are Ohio or how great Groce or Cooper is
  • I hate the word "Run", it implies you overachieved.  If UNC lost you think they would have been saying, well it was a good run?
Looking forward, we return everyone (Hopefully) but looking even more big picture than that, how do we not become Kent St. in 2002?  Elite 8, and now where are they? With a coach leaving for another mid major and a new coach paving the way to the middle of the MAC.  We need to parlay this success into something sustainable without the requirement of having to repeat the performance on a regular basis because if kent, george mason, vcu, and butler are any indicator staying at the top is much harder than getting to the top for a fleeting moment.

“The thing that gets lost in the deal is we’re Ohio University. We’re Ohio. We liked to be referred to as Ohio. That’s who we are." - John Groce

One thing I'd disagree with. To say Stillman was "so awful" if flat out wrong. The kid had zero turnovers in 32 minutes and 6 assists (same number DJ had in 42 minutes). He hit 2 FT's that pretty much iced it in OT.
