I realize that the guys on this list

http://www.ohiobobcats.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/032112aaa.html

(specifically the ADs, but also the conference commissioners) have a fiduicary duty to do whats best for their programs, and that making a road trip to Athens might not qualify as being in the best finicial or program-strength interest of their programs, but we can't get a 2-for-1 (or hell, a 3-for-1) with any of these programs? (I'm excepting Doug Elgin here, since we are in the midst of a home and home with The Valley's Northern Iowa)

Wouldn't it be great if the NCAA mandated that ALL games should be on a home and home basis?

Of course, they wouldn't want to lose the revenue of having a big school in a small arena, but maybe the caveat is a home-home mandate for all schools that have arenas with at least a 6,000 or 7,000 capacity (higher than the 2011 national average of 5,237).

Big coaches would balk, but I think this starts to level the playing field a bit.

I'd like to see them require that at least 50% be that.  Or maybe a third.  It might make RPI and SOS be more useful statistics for talking about at large bids.

Maybe each school has a one- or two-game waiver for home-home contracts per season.

Problem is on the flip side there are schools that would rather go around and collect checks to help the bottom line.

I'm open to anything that gives schools the ability have a little more fairness in scheduling.  That said, money talks and it won't likely happen soon.

Let me tell you something. It's probably the most important that that you've ever been told:  People dig the O H I O.  They will want us in their stadia and arenas.  Watch.  They want to revel in and with us.

Sure. The O H I O can accept invites to other arenas. But let's make sure we arrange for those teams to experience the C O N V O and the O Z O N E.

How about requiring that at least 25% of OOC games have to be road games.

We will get by.
We will get by.
We will get by.
We will survive.
