Wow I am surprised that unlike for the 2nd and 3rd round games you automatically are buying that Elite Eight game with your Sweet Sixteen game.  And since you can't pick up the Elite Eight game ticket till Sunday, so if your team loses on Friday you still have to stick around to even have a chance to scalp it.  I mean I guess it is done to stem any loses in ticket sales and tourism revenue that you can incur from big fan bases having their team lose the first game.  But it just seems a raw deal for people who only want to watch their team play and are struggling to fit coming into their schedules in the first place.

Someone put up a l.ink on the NCAA exchange in another thread. It was very easy to use and if we are not in it those fanbases are pretty good about buying up everything available.

never argue with idiots, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Winter comes and asks how you spent your summer.....

The game loves and rewards those who love and reward the game

Are you saying you could sell the ticket before Sunday and that the NCAA would take care of switching it?

It was the same gig for Nashville, you automatically commit to the second ticket for the following round.

Reason why: the NCAA makes the shcools buy the tickets in their block for both rounds.

And it was the same gig for Providence in '10.

The Few, The Proud, The Bobcats!

And for the record, I hate tOSU, and Ricordati and Torgerson are DB's.

But unlike Nashville, you should know where your seats are going to be for both sessions. I am not sure why they couldn't give you  both on Friday.

No it wasn't, for those games you only got the 2nd game if your team won its first.  But for this setup you get the 2nd game (Elite Eight) tickets no matter how your team does.  That's an entirely different process.

Online, or through the Ohio ticket office?  My synapses may be disjointed, but I seem to recall being automatically charged for round two tics in '10.  Could be wrong, though.

If you buy your tickets from Ticketmaster, they are generally sold as a "strip" or weekend set.  So you do get all games at the site for the weekend.  For example, a "strip" for last weekend would have included three sessions.

Session 1: Cincy/Texas and Florida State/St Bonnie
Session 2: Ohio/Michigan and Temple/USF
Session 3: Ohio/USF and Cincy/FSU

If you bought through the school (Ohio)...you were ONLY sold Session 2.   ONLY if Ohio won, were you billed for Session 3.  You only paid for tickets to sessions Ohio played in.  This was the same for 2010.

For this weekend, there are two sessions:

Session 1: Ohio/UNC and NCST/Kansas
Session 2: Winners play for Final Four trip

This time, we are required to buy both sessions upfront.  So we have tickets for Sunday even if Ohio does not advance.  However, it sounds like we cannot pickup Session 2 tickets until 90 minutes before the Sunday game.  That limits opportunity to unload the tickets should we lose Friday night and want to return home.  We're in the Sweet Sixteen, so no complaints.  But would be nice to get Sunday's tickets on Friday so we have options.
