Two questions:

1.  Which section are all the OU fans sitting?

2.  Since the OU allotment of tickets is sold out, what is the next best route?

Any help is appreciated.  Thanks!

I called to get 2 additional tickets this morning - they're not sold out. It's just that our original allotment of tickets was sold, but I guess they were able to request some additional. This explains it pretty good:

Of course, you still need to be a season ticket holder or Bobcat Club member to buy.

As far as the sections, I'm not sure. Ticket Office may be able to get you that answer.

I got an e-mail about an hour ago that said a limited number of Ohio tickets remained. Did they sell out already?

It seems tickets can be purchased on Ticketmaster, and of course, on sites like Stub Hub. Unfortunately, I'm not sure the Ohio seating section.

Also, I may have one extra ticket available, in the Ohio section.

Well...we should be sitting on the same side as the TV cameras (which are placed on the opposite side from players benches).  The NCAA puts the better seed fans behind the benches (opposite side from cameras) so they get more TV coverage.  Looks like from pictures from previous b-ball games at EJ Dome, the benches are in front of sections 126,127 and 128.  So, my educated guess is that we are opposite sides in either section 153 or 101.

If correct, it may be difficult to get tickets close, as those sections are actually temporary stands.  You can call the OU ticket office at 800.575.CATS and ask, they were able to tell me the sections last week.  They also had a few additional tickets to release this morning.

Well at least they are not completely sold out.. I was thinking of going the Ticketmaster route but wanted to sit with the OU crowd if possible.

Anyone willing to buy 2 extra tickets?  I am not a member of the Bobcat Club or a season ticket holder.

On a side note:  I was able to confirm that people who buy through OU Athletic Dept. will be sitting in sections 152 and 153.

I'm getting the hang of this :-)

You can join the Bobcat Club for $50...of that, $40 is tax-deductible.  Think of it as a $25 per ticket handling fee...you'll pay more through TM/Stubhub and get worse seats ;-).

I believe it's good for a year from the month after you join...so your membership should be good till April 2013...which means you'd be on the list for 2013 NCAA tickets.

I would absolutely pay $50....a reasonable fee to get good seats.  Problem is it sounds like they raised the price for "New" Bobcat Club members which requires you to pay $125 to get 2 seats, more if you want more than that.

I just can't justify the extra cost when I will already spend a good amount of $$ getting there and on lodging.

Exactly how many tickets does Ohio get for OUr section for the Sweet 16 and Elite 8?  I know 2nd and 3rd rounds we got 500.  Is there any increase?

Ah...wasn't aware of the price change.  I'm glad I renewed in January.  I'm sure they're working hard to keep the section Green.

I bought tickets through OU yesterday.

Does anyone know if the seats in the temporary stands are actual seats or bleachers?  I have never been to an event like this

I heard that this was general admission within our section.   So does that mean first come, first serve in our section, or you get seats assigned when you show up?  I wasnt sure how early we need to show up in advance of the game

I was also curious how you get back to the concourse levels for food/beverage and bathrooms if the seats are located on the football field.  I was thinking this might be kind of a pain in these temporary stands.

Looks like folding chairs...I can't imagine it's open seating for a sweet sixteen basketball game.

I've been at other venues and they are actual seats. With actual seat numbers. I can't believe any NCAA event would allow General Admission. My guess is this will work the same as every other event - the seats will be allocated according to your Bobcat Club points.

That is good to know.  I did not get very good information from whoever took my ticket order yesterday.  She just told me lower bowl section and the seats were general admission.
