Last night's win meant the Georgetown win was no fluke in the national consciousness. As the NY Times noted, we're creating a new identity for ourselves.

In a way, Brady Hoke helped us. Everyone knows who we are now. And people are starting to fear us.

Beating Michigan  wasn't a fluke. Michigan didn't play that bad of a game. Ohio was just better the whole game. Ohio looked almost perfect. Very little mental mistakes. No bad fouls, good shots, free throws made, crisp passing. defense got the loose balls and rebounds. This Ohio team was locked in and in games the teams is locked in its a pretty good basketball team.  No question the ablity was their with the performance at Louisville, at Marshall, at Northern Iowa early in the year.  Around Christmas they started to lose the focus with poor games vs Robert Morris & bgsu and got it back after the Toledo & EMU loses allowed Groce to regroup the team and get them back to where they were before Christmas. Now we are back to playing like we were at the beginning of the season. Groce has shown he can refocus his team for March. That shows his coaching ability. Teams either fade or make a run in March. Ohio decided to make a run. They got back to playing defense the way they did in the early part of the season. Perhaps the schedule was soft where we lost our edge for a few weeks but as the games got bigger we regained that edge.

Yeah, those games which we lost because we lost our edge are hard to figure out.  After the way we destroyed Wright State and N Iowa, we were clearly on the way to being ranked.  (Not waying W State is good, but for the first 10-15 minutes of that game, wow!)  We're now back on track.

But 110 is the max that can be used at Ohio or the folks that march will have to change their names to the 150
