Bilas just called us "Ohio U' twice in an attempt, I think, to predict us beating Michigan, which is doubly-bad.

The media calls us Ohio U all the time. It makes me cringe every time I hear it, but at least OUr name is getting out there. Even if they do say it wrong. I think it helps them differentiate us from tOSU to the public, because there are a lot of people out there who do not know the difference, in our own state even. I see it as a work in progress. Baby steps. We can do OUr part by beating Michigan on Friday.

  WE ARE OHIO!!!

Being called Ohio U on ESPN in reference to the NCAA tourney is much better than hearing them talk about Akron or any other MAC team that is not OHIO

I wish I could ask guys like Bilas how the hell he came up with the "U".  He doesn't do that for any other school.  He's from California and played in the South.  How and when did he acquire the need to stick a U at the end of this school and not all others?

It is just bizarre to me.

Can somebody hit a pull up jumper for me?.....

'69...this subject has been around the block so many times it makes me dizzy.  Being in school around the same time that I was, you know everyone in the sports nationally world refered to us as Ohio U and in state as just OU, as you said, to differentiate us from lil brother up the road.   Most of the world has no clue what we went thru to become OHIO and I can appreciate that (and try to change) but to think the mixes, bilases and others who grew up with Ohio U to change is obviously asking too much!  They just cant bring themselves to do it...

Every freaking online bracket has us listed as simply OHIO, and the ESPN score crawl always has us as only OHIO, so using the U is just flat lazy for any journalist, save for the fact that it takes more effort to add the U.

The Few, The Proud, The Bobcats!

And for the record, I hate tOSU, and Ricordati and Torgerson are DB's.

"This isn't just another walkover from the MAC." Kirk Herbstreit, another DB, on College Football Gameday
