During the second half, I think it was in the context of 2010 or 2012 and how "fans were celebrating at the Red Brick Tavern" or something related....

Benetti is surprisingly well informed of these things....

He knew

Bennetti is my favorite play-by-play guy going. Chicago baseball teams have an embarrassment of announcing riches between Bennetti, Boog Sciambi, Pat Hughes and Len Kasper.

There will be no celebrations at the Red Brick tonight or anytime soon.

You can tell the age and how long it is has been since some announcers have made their way into Athens' watering holes. This crew was well informed, though some crews of the recent past, I was half expecting them to give a shout out to the Junction and the Hanger!

Lord knows he is a saint.

Watching PAC 12 contests when he is paired with Walton....I grew new respect for him.

He is so well prepared, he comes on Dakich regularly and just cuts loose. Well worth looking back in the podcasts of Dakich's show to hear him go...

Any elaboration? Or a link to something with more details?

I do not have any link - but my son works at Red brick - and the building was shut down due to major structural issues discovered a week or so ago during an inspection. The entire build is blocked off, and the diner next door due to risk. Court St is one lane/left lane only as you drive by....

The story of Boals ex-college teammates in a group text always making fun of his 3-10 shooting performance against Indiana in the NCAA tournament was good too. We draw anyone else besides Bobby Knight that year in the 12-5 game and I'm convinced that team is going to the Sweet 16. Just a bad matchup from the moment that bracket was released.

Maybe. And maybe you should be the engineer responsible for doing building structural inspections - and your job and the safety of others on the line? From what I have heard 2nd/3rd hand there was a pretty significant issue. Worst case scenario on something like this is a pretty serious worst case scenario....

Yeah, because things fall off buildings all the time.
