Assuming only one of these gets moved to Friday for TV, this is solid. Also a couple nice road trips on my mind to K-Zoo and Funcie in my early thoughts.

Not having to play UT and Balls twice, and not having to go all the way to Central, are nice things.

Kent, Akron, and Miami home games on Saturdays with students on campus. When has that ever happened?

It's been a long time since that has happened. Now, if only the University would role Dad's weekend into the winter/spring semester, we'd get the most out of those games. ;)

(Seriously though, why not flip Mom's weekend and Dad's weekend?)

Perhaps our drop in attendance the last couple of seasons got their attention.

You're giving the MAC office too much credit.

Gotta differ with you, 'Squared. I had the chance to speak with the MAC commish a few months ago and he said one of their strategies is to re-energize longtime rivalries such as OU-Miami.

Hopefully that same strategy carries over to football. I'm tired of these rivalry games played on weeknights and Black Friday.

Unless you front load the schedule, none of these things are ever going to change. Soul is sold to ESPN.

This is good to hear the MAC is actually thinking about these things.

I still maintain that the MAC football should find a way to shift weeknight #MACtion to only two games a week, and each team's bye week is preceded by that weeknight game. Everyone gets 1, max two weeknight games. Of course I'm living in a land that isn't likely to happen.

Yup, it basically rivalry games in the first or second game of the MAC schedule...or weeknights. Not sure which I prefer.

I'd rather front load them, honestly. Ohio-Miami being early in the season where both teams are still in the hunt and the weather is warmer and it's on a Saturday is a better situation than a Wednesday, in the cold where one of the teams is out of contention.

(sighs) Broken record time: It was Schaus. He wanted those games during the week. Schaus is gone, these games are on the weekends now. Point A to Point B.

I assume you're suggesting he put them on weekdays in the hope that the weekday attendance would be larger?

I thought the MAC dictated the conference matchups. Or are you saying he specifically requested this from the conference and they obliged?
