There's an article in today's The Record by Chris Iseman of USA today.
Sorry,but I couldn't get it to link.

The article talks about "sweeping" basketball rule changes.

Thing is,unless I'm missing something, the rule changes don't do anything to address the "one and done" situation.

I just got around to looking into this a little. Here are a few articles I found. Seems like it's a botched attempt at trying to make themselves look better after the FBI investigation.

EDIT: Here's an additional take from DeCourcy:

The one and done is an NBA thing, the NCAA is powerless in that regard

That's not entirely true.

One of the options discussed to address this was,if a player in any sport was awarded a scholarship,it was, except for limited exceptions,"locked" either until that kid's class graduated or a set number of years.

That would at least make schools think twice about giving out scholarships to people they know are leaving.

That’s focused on the schools, and is a horrible idea, the problem lies with the NBA. Players will still do what they can do, and will look out for themselves

Personally,I think there are potential problems with the NBA getting rid of "one and done" by letting high schools kids enter the league, right out of high school.

When the NCAA first started talking about addressing "one and done",WFAN had a couple former NBA coaches on.
They thought getting rid of "one and done" was a good idea.
But they also felt that the only way the NBA could only do this is by having a true development league.
This would give kids right out of high school at least a year to mature.
They also felt this is something the league isn't really interested in.

Their opinion is that the NBA is fine with colleges acting as a one year minor league.

Good idea or bad,the NCAA will never lock up scholarships since they love having one and dones play in March Madness.

RPI is gone and being replaced by a new rating system called NET.

When it comes to more then one bid for the MAC,the word will still be "NyET".

Here's a link (with addtional links within) about the change. It seems like it is designed to somehow blend RPI, KenPom, etc into one metric.

Agreed. It doesn't matter what metric they are using the room will find a way to mold it to say whatever they want it to say.

Until they (selection committee folks) prove otherwise, I'm 110% in agreement with you on this.

The offensive and defensive efficiency categories seem to favor the Gonzaga model of dominating an easy league. If a team is really good it can help them with seeding. To compare for Ohio I looked at the 2012-13 efficiencies the year we made it to the NIT. Ohio was #45 in defensive efficiency and #67 in offensive efficiency. That averages out to #56 or a 14 seed. Considering Ohio didn't win the MAC tournament and played in the NIT that number seems about spot on. The sweet 16 team didn't measure as well. Offensive efficiency was #113 and defensive efficiency #32 which averages out to 72.5 overall. In the MAC where its true mid-major level competition every night its hard to have separation. WCC its Gonzaga, BYU, St. Mary's and the 7 dwarfs.

Most Memorable Bobcat Events Attended
2010 97-83 win over Georgetown in NCAA 1st round
2012 45-13 victory over ULM in the Independence Bowl
2015 34-3 drubbing of Miami @ Peden front of 25,086
