After easily handling Kent Thursday in the conference opener at the Convo, OHIO makes the long trek to Mt. Pleasant to take on Central Michigan, the team picked to win the MAC Western division. They have finished 2nd in the West the past 3 seasons.
Central was surprised Thursday, losing to EMU on the road (looking ahead?). They return three all-conference players. Central has had a rough start this year, with a 6-7 record, but that includes losses to three powerful teams. OHIO and CMU have had no common opponents in the OOC schedule.
Big promotions are being planned for their home conference opener against OHIO Saturday evening. It will be interesting to see their crowd size* given these promotions, team expectations, plus they're playing the team who always has a target on its back.
This one could be a war.
*Ohio ranked 25th nationally in attendance last year I believe
