OU Baseball SWEEPS East Mich to get to 10-14 and 8-4 in MAC play. Defeated them 7-6, 8-4, and 6-4. Minzey and Pitino still with over 1.000 OPS. Luke Olson has trimmed his ERA down to 6.45. Guys seem to be getting better and better, cannot wait to see them play on Tuesday.

Huge weekend for the Cats. This is the improvement we've needed, holding EMU to 14 runs for the entire weekend was a game changer. The secret sauce might just be holding the opponent to 7 runs or less.

Actually got to 8-4 in the MAC, good for 2nd place behind Ball State. Even in front of CMU who has fluttered to a 5-4 start. Perhaps most amazing is we played 4 series in March in the MAC and got every game in.
All 3 starts were not great/deep meaning the bullpen was fantastic. Several bullpen guys have settled into long relief roles out of necessity if nothing else, and you have to wonder if they've considered flipping some of these guys to starter if they're gonna be asked to pitch 4-5 innings anyway. Kelly, Boncal, Tate, etc have been very effective.
Another bat not talked about is Cole Williams (transfer from Marshall)...I don't think he was really in the plans as a starter but he has been too good. He was the key to victory in game #1. Leads the team in OPS if you considered him elgible, OBP nearly .500!
Win the next 2 series (Toledo & Miami) to get to at least 12-6 and you have to feel really good about making the tourney.
