Has there been any mention of the Bobcat Caravan touring the state this year or has this come to an end?

I believe they are taking a different approach this year.

I was told the same thing. Think it is a mistake, but they didn't ask me for my opinion.

Data driven decision making. Did it increase OBC membership/donations? Did it increase season ticket sales? Do folks prefer other forms of engagement, such as digital/video? From my perspective, it seemed like a large expenditure of time/labor/travel for limited ROI. Perhaps they'll still have events in Athens and Columbus.

I think the "Coaches Show On The Road" is replacing the caravan. The first one is at Jackie O's in Columbus next week.

That would be nice, if true. From what I was told they just got tired of it, and wanted to try something new for the sake of newness and less work on their part. I think it was more a "seat of pants" decision than anything that was really data driven.

First I'm hearing of this, and I'm VERY online lol

Was also at Jackie O's this weekend.

Might be why attendance is so sparse.

Clearly an ROI decision. The people who attended these generally fell in three categories - and I emphasize generally - loyal donors, loyal Bobcats who may or may not give and "loyal" Bobcats who got to have a nice time on the university's dime. I can guarantee you from personal experience in business and fundraising, that these types of events rarely lead to opening new pockets - at least not enough to warrant the expense.

Maybe I am wrong; it wouldnt be the first time. However, the man I talked with, who claimed to have been involved in the decision making, did not indicate that any real analysis had been done related to ROI.
