This needs to be a topic. It was a great win against a tough team under challenging circumstances. Hire Hauser!.

They should 100% promote Hauser. Any other hire outside of a big time shocker makes no sense.

What the f*** are we doing if we don't hire Hauser after that effort. Leader of men tonight and the last couple weeks. Same thing I posted in coaching thread, just make the easy choice.

Incredibly impressed by everything I have seen from Hauser. He fits. The situation the past month was handled with professionalism and care. He had the boys ready to roll tonight and got the big W.

Hire Hauser and keep the staff in tact! This program will keep rolling.

What a day at the Convo.....Wow!

I'm serious. If Slade and the Ohio U. department still do the knee-jerk move of hiring outside the program, they're galactically stupid.

Hire Hauser. The dude proved it last night.

OUr fan base has spoken - Hauser.

OUr players have spoken - Hauser.

Now it's up to OUr president and AD.

I agree. What a performance by the defense last night. I don't remember ever seeing a team tackle as well as OUr guys did last night. I was worried when Anas went out (unfairly, I believe) that we would see some letdown. Far from it. They sure looked inspired last night.

I don't see how hiring Hauser could come back to bite Slade in the ass. You ride the momentum of the bowl win and what should be a mostly intact roster (fingers crossed) into an exciting begin of next season. If he works out, Slade gets the credit. If Hauser doesn't work out, Slade can sit back on 'well, I gave you guys what you wanted'

Agree DC! This should have already been a done deal with Hauser. Unfortunately the Prez and the former AD bungled the situation with Coach Albin 13 months ago. Surely she won’t mess up again.

Probably allowing the AD they hired to do his job.

Hard to believe anyone would consider a 9 win season and a bowl win as bungled (meanwhile the other guy lost to every FBS team they played) but no one would accuse you of playing with a full deck.

While the easiest choice, that’s probably what is driving the due diligence, you have Hauser in your pocket. Everyone would be happy with it. Nobody would question it. He’s already here. Kick the tires on others. Let him interview with the powers that be. Get his perspective on where he sees the trajectory of the program, what’s his offensive philosophy, how he will handle leading a program, what he wants to be different, who is his potential staff… you can do all that while gathering perspective from other interviews. It’s not a negative, it’s responsible and respectful of what has been built.

Last time I checked my notes, Albin had multiple 10 win seasons here. The fact some of you all are so obsessed with him leaving is kind of sad. This time last year you all were talking about Smith like you are Hauser and now you all want to throw him to the wolves and give him no credit. It’s actually quite comical to watch you all.

MDWST- Ohio University is in this predicament once again, because the former AD and President didn't recognize or appreciate a coach who won ten consecutive games for three straight seasons. The two of them didn't appreciate a guy who brought Athens the first league title in 56 seasons. They didn't close the deal on the 2 time MAC Coach of the year. You and others have no idea what you are talking about. You continue to support the former AD for this huge blunder. You and others do not know half of the story. As I said 12 months ago, please feel free to get back to me when the next time the Bobcats have three consecutive 10 win seasons. Having said that, Coach Hauser was one of Albin's hires and is a tremendous coach admired by his players. The president needs to get Hauser hired ASAP! If you watched the bowl game, you and every Bobcat fan know that this university has only the obvious choice to make. Hire Hauser!

Unless Solich is coming back (and he ain't), Mr Hauser deserves his chance.
Wait much longer & he won't be available. Bobcat fans weren't the only ones who were impressed by the job and professionalism he showed. Other schools took notice (ie. Charlotte).
Mr Hauser is not stupid. If one waits, he will realize, he is not what whomever is hiring wants. He will walk &
probably soon.

HIRE Mr Hauser & stop pussy footing!

Like I said some of you happen to entertain me. Sorry, that my actually respecting Tim for his almost 20 years of service to Ohio University and the community. While many here wanted ridicule him for a speech impediment and anything else they could. You guys can do what you want. You don’t bother me nearly as much as I seem to bother you.
