I received my notification last week for renewal of my season football tickets. This year they are not including the licensing fee with my ticket price. While the renewal price is the same as last year (which included a $75/seat licensing fee last year) this year I'll be paying the renewal price as well as the additional $75 licensing fee per seat. In essence, my seat has increased by $75 per seat for the upcoming season. I'm a bit hesitant to renew at this time until I see what the schedule looks like. If we only have 3 "weekend games" and have half of our home games played on a Tues./Wed night I may have to reconsider my renewal.
I'd be curious to see how others on here feel about this change. I understand the role that NIL is playing in all of this, but I'm concerned about this dramatic change.

I also thought rolling out the season ticket renewal before we have a list of what those games will be, or even how many there will be, is a bit bold.

I renewed mine. I am hoping we don't get screwed with a home game on Thursday, Oct. 29 and then four more weeknight games in November with 2 of those at home.

We renewed our football tickets and benefits last Friday by stopping by the Convocation Center. At the Captain level the past number of years we’ve had Tower Club tickets, Orange Lot parking and Sook Center access (2). This year, there is apparently a distinction being made by having designated reserved parking spots on the perimeter (grassy area adjacent locations) in the Orange Lot, and, what I’ll call general parking in the interior of that lot.

Our cost was going to raise $500 if we did basically nothing but, not only would it go up that amount, we would no longer be able to park on the perimeter, nor would we be able to enter Sook. In order to have a tailgate area (perimeter reserved parking) if we choose and access to Sook, we decided to pay the additional $500 ($1,000 extra total over last year) to still have those benefits.

While I wasn’t too excited about paying more, I appreciate the fact that Ohio Athletics cannot maintain the status quo in today’s environment.

I have parked in the Green Lot for a number of years and have tailgated with a number of friends along the Richland Ave side of the lot. We have used the same spaces for years. It took a number of emails and phone calls to get this sorted out for the upcoming season.

If I'm not mistaken, the extra money for Green Lot tailgating only provides a reserved spot for tailgating. Beyond the likely few who pay this extra fee, perimeter parking for tailgating is first-come first-served. There were only about 8 spots reserved last year.

It's news to me that I won't have Sook access without paying that upcharge. That would really piss me off seeing as my wife and I contributed to that project.

This map shows the green reserved as all of the spaces adjacent to grass. I am assuming that not all of those will be taken so the remainder will likely be available to whoever gets there early.

I paid the same Captain level donation as last year and was assured by email from the ticket office that this would still qualify me to Sook and Rohr Room access. I was worried by all of the horror stories being posted here. Of course, my wife is a Varsity OHIO member, so maybe we get a break! (ha-ha)

I can only vouch for our situation. The ticket office person we spoke with seemed to be well versed on the changes and I felt comfortable from that standpoint.

I called to renew mine and to get clarification on changes. First person I talked to in ticket office was not very informed and was incorrect about PSR/Bobcat Club levels and parking for the year. I asked to be transferred to Bobcat Club and there got accurate info.

Bottom line PSR's are gone. Season Fball Phillips Club section seat tic went up and is the same as the seat and PSR were combined prior. Bobcat Club fee for the full year Captain level stays the same. Captain level still gets me VIP Orange lot parking and that is now a reserved parking spot. Also still have Endzone Club and Rohr Room included.

What is YTBD is will Bball season tic prices go up?

I can't wait to see how the reserved parking will be enforced. I wasn't expecting a parking spot number when I renewed last week.

Actually I thought it was kinda silly. Only so many Orange VIP spaces - and not that many - so just don't let more vehicles into the area than there are spaces - eh?

To clarify. Maybe I misunderstood the ticket office. Now the orange VIP lot is reserved and we are assigned the same spot for the season. Not like previous years when it was first come, first served. I was talking about enforcing the same spot.
