Yet again, I am sitting here in West Lafayette watching our predictable offense suck again. I had written a thread discussing why our program needed a change in direction here and again, I raise my voice in saying change it up. Heck Purdue executed a double reverse pass on us. Most creativity in years I've seen on a field. Yet here we go with Hey Diddle Diddle _____ up the middle!

Run, run, pass

I've been calling for this for more than a year. Offense is undeniably predictable. You can't run the football if you don't stretch the field. Papi needs the ball on the outsides and there isn't a downfield threat worth covering. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that for the read-option offense to succeed you need to be able to move the ball around

And yet again, the network announcers commend the stability in the Ohio coaching staff with Frank, Burrows and Albin established as the longest running HC/OC/DC trio in the country.

I agree wholeheartedly. Nothing about OHIO is fun. If the announcers said that Solich quit at halftime, I don't think I'd be sad. I've never been an anti-Frank guy, but he doesn't seem to be able to keep up with the times. Start with Albin, then move to the next...let's move on. We are a boring team.

The good news is that LC will tell us why a 34-7 deficit is okay, he predicted this and it projects us to win 7 games this year.

And we have wasted explosive players with our bland offense. Papi needs to transfer to a spread team; Sebastian Smith should have been league MVP guy. List goes on.

Unfortunately, the picture is pretty clear. Frank and company peaked several years ago. Time for them to gracefully move on. Play calling is embarrassing.

Why not a "Fire Burrow" thread? If they give up 700 yards and 70 points, no amount of offense is going to help.

Wow look what happens when you move the ball around and attack the perimeter

It's almost like they read the suggestions and realized maybe running the ball up the middle every play isn't the best idea

On the bright side this may force them out of their comfort zone and allow some development.

Frank Solich said that we needed to pass and we did, touchdown. Rourke can be the guy. A couple of deep balls in the first half would have opened up the pass. The db's will creep up in the next few possessions, we should be setting them up for the deep ball. Peace Out Albin

Well, in the first half, we had almost no amount of offense.

They had over 150, which isn't good, but giving up over 350 yards in a half is pretty awful. Let's hope they improve for next week.

Totally agree. Our defense is getting shellacked right now. A chance for a momentum change after the touchdown is wasted.

Les Miles--OU played sloppy.

That's a nice way of saying they look unprepared,

And I dont think there are Burrow apologists, but our offense is vanilla at best.

And props for Rourke and Julian Ross.

It's not like Ohio was playing Indiana or Maryland or Iowa or some other middle ground Big Ten team. They just got their ass kicked by Purdue. I'll be the first to say and have said Purdue is a lot better under Brohm. But 20 points better than Ohio better? Cmon. They were totally unprepared for this game. Just call it what it is.

This team is wasting one of the best offensive talents they've ever had in Papi White. It's unbelievable. He should be putting up Dri Archer type numbers and leading this team to 10-win seasons.

Funny, for 8 months of the year this staff is the best, they are honorable and always do the right thing. We lose the first game and your are throwing these guys under the bus! No credibility! Purdue was the better team!

Because it's not cool not to blame the offense. Everyone knows you must score the most points, so that means that it's the offenses fault. Yes, there are truly fans who think like that

Based on what??? Your opinion? BA has the greatest collection of coaches in America! Add them all up and they will almost surpass the career total of Cleve Bryant. They have all the answers! Just not sure what the questions are.
