To put these numbers in perspective, let's compare them to the all time best Quarterbacks in MAC history since 2004:
http://scorecenter.espn.go.com/ncf/qbr?type=alltime-seaso...

As it stands right now, the all time best years by a MAC QB are:
#1 Woodside    Toledo   2017   79.7
#2 Harnish     NIU      2010   78.7
#3 Rourke      Ohio     2017   78.3
#4 Wassink     WMU      2017   74.5
#5 Jacobs      BGSU     2004   74.4
#5 Harnish     NIU      2011   73.8
#6 Davis       Ball St  2008   73.6
#7 Lynch       NIU      2012   73.1
#8 LeFevour    CMU      2009   72.4
#9 Horvath     NIU      2005   72.2
#10 Terrell    WMU      2014   71.8

So, three of the top four QBs since 2004 are playing this year. I guess what it means is that none have had a bad game yet. One bad game, and they will slide down into the pack. By the end of the year the numbers may look quite different.

Actually, he's a Juco, but with 4 years to play three. If some year he gets hurt, he can use it as a redshirt year.
