Been doing this for 53 years and I never stop hoping for a miracle.

Replying to your post simply because I want to live in Atascadero upon graduating. SLO is one of the nicest places I've ever been.

However, Frank is 73. Not sure how many more "next years" he has in the tank

The sooner we realize that this program is what it is until Frank retires, the happier everyone will be. Nothing has changed, or is changing. 8-4,6-2, or 7-5, 5-3. Hopefully in Detroit.

At least we have one of the great campuses to tailgate on, and Bobcat friends to do it with.

See y'all Saturday.

Let's put this game into perspective. This was an expectations trap game for the Bobcats. MAC teams have been licking their chops for years to come to West Lafayette, for sometimes the Boilermakers are half decent with a star quarterback but not much else, but often a doormat ripe for the non Power 5 picking.

However, Coach Jeff Brohm is proving to be an under the radar hire as exhibited by last week and unfortunately this week's game. While everyone became fixated with Tom Herman superlatives in the off season, Coach Brohm was quietly preparing for the season with few football pundit expectations.

Whatever one thinks of our legendary Coach Solich, it would behoove all to realize that the chances of some young gun who will stay in Athens longer than P J Fleck stayed in Kalamazoo is pretty remote. Stranger things have happened, but even my idealistic spirit realizes that sadly there is a ceiling to our rise and the rise of just about any other MAC school.

It doesn't have to be a young gun so long as he can recruit and execute offense. Solich has a program which has averaged in the bottom 1/3rd offensively over 13 years.

Most Memorable Bobcat Events Attended
2010 97-83 win over Georgetown in NCAA 1st round
2012 45-13 victory over ULM in the Independence Bowl
2015 34-3 drubbing of Miami @ Peden front of 25,086

The naming of Burrows as Associate HC says Frank has digging in until they carry him off the field.

Louisville has a Heisman trophy _winner_ at QB and only managed about 130 more yards vs. Purdue than Ohio did.

The offense was fine once they opened it up in the second half. The problems were turnovers and defense.

I tend to agree with you. Take away the 10 points off turnovers and the 7 from the flea flicker and the score is tight. It's only the 2nd game of the year and hopefully a learning experience. I saw some good out there and close to 400 yards of offense. Rourke looked poised and solid.
