Somehow a kid talented enough to make Oregon's football team as a WR played high school ball almost within ear shot of Peden Stadium.

Just to put things in proper perspective, according to the article growing up he was "obsessed" with the Ducks.

Maybe he preferred UO to OU.

Searches of our recruiting board here turned up zilch on the kid. Nothing. Nada. Strange that there could be that kind of talent in the county and no mentions of him here at all.

Federal Hocking has been real bad for a few years. I think it was two years ago they had under 30 players total. I remember his name as I live in the area, but no mention of college recruiting around him.

To have that belief in yourself after basically no recruiting at all - even lower divisions, and have your family make that investment in that training facility in Indiana, and then paying out of state tuition to go to Oregon, and then beating out all the walk-on tryouts.... Come on. That's amazing. I hope that kid catches a TD on that home field. That'll be way cool.

Can somebody hit a pull up jumper for me?.....

It's the kind of "Rudy-esque" stuff of which movies are made.
