The Ohio IMG Sports Network is ready to cover 2017 Ohio Football with programming debuting on Monday.

The first game week of the season starts with the first "Frank Solich Show" from Broneys in Uptown Athens from 6-7 p.m.  "Bobcat Sports Today," a Monday-Friday Ohio sportscast, also debuts on many stations on Monday morning.  This all leads to the one-hour pregame show on Saturday night at 6 p.m before the Bobcats host Hampton at 7 p.m.

"From Court Street to Columbus, from WV to Kentucky and beyond," the network of 14 stations serves as the radio home of the Bobcats.  Power 105 (WXTQ-105.5 FM) is the flagship in Athens.  Columbus listeners now have an FM affiliate, WXZX (105.7 FM).  The partnership with WOUB continues to expand the network's reach.  Ironton's WOUL (89.1 FM) brings Bobcat Football to fans in the Huntington, WV area.  WAOL (99.5 FM) carries the Cats into portions of Cincinnati.  All told, the station coverage map blankets southern and central Ohio and hits three states.

For fans outside of the conventional radio listening area, the broadcasts are available online and on mobile devices through Stretch Internet and TuneIn. Ohio's TuneIn listener numbers were the best of the MAC IMG schools in 2016-17, and were better than several Power 5 Conference schools.

Russ Eisenstein returns for his 10th season as the "Voice of the Bobcats."  Ohio Alum, Rob Cornelius is back as color analyst.  Together the duo has painted the picture of some of the greatest moments in the history of the program.

"It's all gone by so fast," Eisenstein said.  "It really is an honor to have fans trust us to tell the story of Bobcat Athletics.  We hope they've enjoyed our unique brand of information and entertainment over the years and we plan on being even better in 2017.  We'll have fun and we hope they will too!"

In the buildup to game day, pictures and audio features that will play during the broadcast will be tweeted out through @RussEisenstein, @OhioFootball and @OhioBobcats.  The network twitter handle is @OhioIMG.

I certainly wish that they would find a new location for this. The acoustics are just horrible in Broney's. You can't hear a thing that's being said, even if you are relatively close to action. In the old location, at Donato's, you could actually hear the interviews. The current setup just encourages me not to attend but to listen on the radio.

I don't know why Frank just doesn't invite each individual fan to his house to sit down and enjoy a cup of tea with him and discuss the program.

Have either of you actually attended one of these Broneys events? I go to one or two a year. Used to attend more often at Donatos and Courtside. Last time I attended at Broneys no one at the table where I was sitting could hear anything that was going on. Frank did stop by our table and talked individually to each of us, so yes personal communication with the coach is a good way to get information. I appreciate your attempts at sarcasm, it's my favorite form of humor, but you guys need a bit more practice to hone your skills. Try again. I can take it. ;-)
