I was surprised to not see Bo hardy, Toran Davis and Troy Watson take part in the pro day. Watson is like our former lineman Matt Miller, both I feel would have had a chance play at the next level. I wish them well in their professional careers

I wonder what sort of 40 time Bo would have put up. He had some serious speed.

Some kids come to the realization that there is a real world after football. The three you mentioned are were decent college players, but I'm not sure "playing at the next level" would be in their future. Just my opinion.

There's a disconnect

If so many of our guys are truly NFL caliber, how could we have gone 8-6.

A more rational judgment of the caliber of the talent which we have on hand may be called for.

I don't know if they are NFL quality, if I had to guess, Hardy would probably get a tryout because of his speed and versatility. I thought Watson would get a tryout with a good workout as well. Sean Williams was a backup and made the nFL, so did Joshua Abrams. I was just surprised that they did not make an attempt.

It's a mature decision to move on, and start thinking in terms of life after football. I'm not under the illusion that Hardy would have made an NFL team, so so working for three months to prepare for Pro Day would probably not have been a good use of his time. I was just curious exactly how fast he was, since he was reportedly the fastest player on the team the last few years. Surely he's run a laser-timed 40 somewhere along the line, but no one has ever reported a speed.

Depends on what you call making the NFL, Josh has ZERO service time and was never on the active roster.

I thought he got activated the last week, I guess not, he did make the practice squad.

I watched several shows about the whole drafted/undrafted situation in the NFL,including 1 show that followed several guys who were supposed to be drafted early and either went very late or didn't get drafted at all.

It seems that,in a lot of cases, late round draft picks and UFA's are pretty much "cannon fodder" at preseason camps.

There are some guys who make the cut,but not many.

It also seems that, even if you do get on a roster, you have a short career.

I guess,if you want to say I made it to the NFL,its O.K,but these guys know they're not going to make enough to retire,so I can see deciding its time to move on.

I agree, I would like to have known Bo's 40 time.
