I can't be the only viewer who thought of George Constanza eating ice cream at the US Open when ESPN showed the Bobcat fan munching on popcorn.

I just had to comment on the choice of "Bobcats who just wanna be Bobcats". My wife and I hate that commercial. It's an embarrassment. I am just amazed that it was allowed to air.

Listen to the other schools talk about the quality of education, research work taking place and we have a we have a guy with eyebrows as big as the brushes in a car wash rolling his eyes looking like a star struck child.

I went there to "Become an Engineer"! You can't get a job being a "Bobcat"! We gotta be able to do much better.

Ok, I got that off my chest

I'm with you on the commercials.

They have yet to have one that I've been impressed with.

They are either awful or an occasional "meh."

I thought we had a good viscom program?

I thought the fans did a pretty good job getting into a very uninspiring game. Some left at half time, but there were more on the student side than normal during the second half. Not a bad job considering the weather and slow pace of the game.

Agreed. There were a lot more fans on the student side than I thought there'd be.

I wish ESPN would stop running that godawful "People come to Ohio to become Bobcats" spot. The university has produced at least two others since then, and one is actually pretty good. Whoever makes the decisions about this at Ohio needs to get in touch with ESPN.

What was missing most was having the same three or four spots loaded up for every commercial break. You want to upchuck by the third quarter. This happens on ESPN3 all the time, but you don't expect it on the cable channels.

As beloved and UNIQUE as OHIO UNIVERSITY IS...and we air a commercial that's totally generic, for which one could substitute in the name of any other school and get the same underwhelming result.

Why isn't coming up with an OHIO-worthy 30 (20?) second spot assigned to a communications class?
