I miss Monroe. The board gets boring without many differing opinions. Besides he is probably right as often as he is wrong...like ALL of us on this board.

The shame of it is that Ohio finally has what he's been asking for - an outstanding defensive line. They are getting tons of sacks, and jamming the run. Something that he'd like even more is that with the defensive line as solid as it is, Ohio was able to do a lot of overload blitzing on the QB's backside against Miami. When Miami tried to do the obvious, and run away from it, they still couldn't get by the defensive line.

L.C. You must not know what an overload blitz is.

And, you can keep noting all kinds of splinter plays or stats but that in no way mitigates that you've pretty much been wrong for the last four years.

Aren't you a Northwestern alum? Colin Cowherd on Friday ran down how good Pat Fitzgerald is/has achieved for Northwestern in a tough (especially at the top) conference and at a school with high academic and, therefore, recruiting standards.

Fitzgerald vs. Solich. Not in the same league literally and metaphorically.

Reality...whether you like it or not.

And it's not acceptable for 11+ years at the place from which I'm an alum.

Are you aware that in his best two seasons at OHIO Solich lost four games? In every other season, with a weak sched in the weak MAC, he's lost 5 or more games. Tending that way this year, too.

Solich has never lost less than four games in a season at OHIO. In the MAC. With a cupcake schedule.

Tell me the EMU staff didn't have some tricks up their sleeve!?! QB splits out and throws the bomb on a reverse...very unexpected onsides kick. When is the last time we showed anything like that?

Speaking of on sides kicks...why not pooch it 40 yards down the field when they have 11 guys 10 yards from the ball? Recover it at the 20 and go score? Just curious...
