Here's a list of every Ohio drive inside the opposing team's 40 yd line listing the closest yard line reached and the final result of the drive.

vs Texas State:
3 TD
15 TO (downs)
16 TD
18 FG made
18 FG made
24 FG made
24 FG MISSED
29 TD
34 TO (fumble)

vs Kansas:
1 TD
2 FG made
5 FG made
8 FG made
8 TO (interception)
9 FG made
11 TD
20 FG made
38 TD

vs Tennessee:
4 TD
11 FG made
12 FG made
12 FG made
21 FG made



Summary:
23 total drives
13 FG attempts (12 makes)
7 TDs
3 TOs

12 times Ohio was within the 12yd line but only managed to get 3 TDs out of it. Can't win the MAC if that doesn't improve. Impact of loss of AJ no bigger than with this stat.

But Ohio has a kicker who is simply money from 45 yards in. No team has that kind of reliable weapon. Huge advantage for Ohio.

I agree that Ohio needs to get in the endzone more, and take less 3's. I think they will do better at that against MAC defenses. I'm also glad, though, that Zervos is money in the bank.

We've been blessed with solid to strong kickers in the Solich era no doubt.

Definitely need to figure out how to not stall in the red zone as much.
