There's losing in 3OT to a bottom feeder FBS team. Then there's losing in 4OT to an HBCU.

Damn, I really wish North Dakota could have held on.

And the Flashes go down. Questionable PI call kept NC A&T drive alive. Then NC A&T appears to get away with a push off on the winning TD catch.

Why??? It would have been more bad news for the MAC had North Dakota won. If you're a fan of the MAC you don't want to see its members losing in the non conference, especially to FCS teams. Further, North Dakota didn't "hold on." They never even led and trailed the entire game.. They scored with 30 seconds left to pull within one with a chance to win it thanks to a missed PAT by BG.

I'm a fan of Ohio. I'm indifferent to the MAC. This isn't high school football where there are Harbin points to be earned when your opponent wins games. 99% of the time, I'm pulling for the upset when I watch games that don't involve my teams. So screw Kent, BG and Miami.

I have to disagree. All things good for the MAC for the most part good for OHIO, just as is the opposite not good for OHIO - In the big picture and in the long run. A MAC opponent beating a P5 team just makes it even better when we then beat that MAC team.

I agree. Half of the MAC East has already lost to an FCS team. That looks bad for the MAC - AND - OHIO. If Ohio turns around and loses to one of those teams, it looks even worse for Ohio. I'm all for watching upsets in college football, it's what makes it great. But as a fan of a MAC school and the conference itself that we play in, we should want the conference to do well as a whole. It's how you gain credibility. Look at the SEC. Those fans love their team and conference. They'll cheer "SEC" till they're blue in the face. It's also why at the end of the year conference are measured by how they did overall as a group vs other conferences. I enjoyed seeing FCS teams beat teams from the ACC and Big Ten so far this season. But I hated seeing it happen to the MAC. Aside from Miami fans, they're wouldn't be a lot of MAC fans happy to see Gardner-Webb beat Ohio in two weeks.

When your team hasn't won a division title in 5 years you're looking for all the help that you can get. That is why some are finding solace in the FCS losses and poor play of other MAC East foes.

Most Memorable Bobcat Events Attended
2010 97-83 win over Georgetown in NCAA 1st round
2012 45-13 victory over ULM in the Independence Bowl
2015 34-3 drubbing of Miami @ Peden front of 25,086
