Oregon was up 31-0 in the 1st half when their QB goes down. The back up plays the rest of the game and they can't score any points in the 2nd half to win the game and consequently the lost. I bring this point up as we are all discussing the weaknesses of our program and what the needs are for next year. I was very surprised that the Ducks didn't have more skilled depth at center. Side note: I admired Mack Brown as coach at NC and TX, and I've really enjoyed his work as an announcer. When OR went up 31-0, Brown said, "Don't turn us off. This game is a long way from over." From another announcer, I would have regarded that as so much babble. But I believed Brown really meant it. Talk about prescient. +1 on Brown as an announcer. He has quickly become on of my favorites. One thing I like about him is that he explains in simple terms what's happening with shifts in offense and defense alignments on the field. I get the idea that I'm actually learning things about the game listening to him. In this regard he reminds me of Bill Curry, who was a great announcer but a mediocre coach. Once again, you really think the center is the reason TCU won this game? Sorry, but I don't. And I'm fairly confident that center was replaced in the 1st half when Adams was still in the game.
