I present to you exhibit A, today's second half. The defense is the only reason this is a close gameto begin with.

Sprague's arm strength and accuracy is not too good. Windham has arm strength and no accuracy. Maxwell threw for a hundred yards a game in low division high school football, but the coaches are calling him Big Ben. We will see. In my opinion, we need a new assistant that can recruit qb's.

Agreed. I'll never question effort, but the facts are, Ohio has often been out played at the QB position since TT.

Would have won without the defense collapsing.

Agree, time for some major changes. Game would have been ugly without great defensive plays. Congrats to App State!

Wut?

The defense was the only thing that kept the game close.

D also gave up a ton of yards and, more to the point, points. Got gashed a lot.

This was not on the defense at all. Not sure why we ever throw the ball on first down because it rarely results in anything good. Or throw the ball at all for that matter.

Rooting for Akron is like cheering on the Taliban.

One thing you have to say is that Windham kept his composure on the fumbled 4th down snap. I thought it was game over on the fumble.

Defense kept us in the game, but ultimately they didn't win us the game. Ohio has 29-28 lead with 1:51 left. ASU drives the length of the field to win the game.

In truth though, Ohio's offense ultimately cost Ohio the game. I think we all saw it tonight; Sprague is OK as a back up but he isn't going to lead the team to a MACC. Of that there's no doubt.

Windham and Sprague are backup quarterbacks. Vick must have been hurt. I wanted to see him all night. He would have thrown for at least one touchdown which would have been the difference. Here's to hoping Krizancic transferred for a reason.

Their last drive reminded me of what Minnesota did to us to pull out the win.

To the other post that said Sprague and Windham are backups .. perhaps so but Windham has a strong arm and in limited action has shown he can run as well. I'll wait until next fall to see if he can step it up a bit.

This was a fun game to watch and a Cleveland Browns heart breaker finish. According to your post, next year will not see us in Detroit.

Hi Alan, and if Sprague is the starter next year, then yes I don't expect Ohio to get to the MACC. But I'm literally a hopeless Browns fan, so what do I know?

46% completion rate, and we had to burn two timeouts, he is not the guy.

Sorry but the first timeout was called since he was just sent into the game.

But you and Monroe can take over for Frank & Co. next year.

I am just telling the truth. Windham has been in our system for four years, 46% will not cut it.

Not sure where you got 46%. Last year it was 77% and career totals are almost 55%. Vick was in his 4th year before he started.

46% was his completion percentage this year.
