Tommy T is gonna be under pressure next year to get them to a conference title game. That's the expectation after all the investment in facilities.

He might be under pressure to win this week at ECU. A loss to ECU means they'll go from 9-4/7-1 last year to 6-6/3-5 this year with maybe a weaker schedule. Last year they had O$U and Toledo, plus both Miamis OOC; this year they had Alabama A&M and BYU plus the Miamis. In-conf this year they swapped UCF and Tulsa for SMU and Tulane from last year.

With the explosive offenses in college football this has become the new normal. Its not uncommon to see 60 points in a game. I can remember when only an team with inferior talent would be at risk of losing by 30 points. These days any team that doesn't come to play is at risk of that happening. I don't judge Frank on the margin of the BG, WMU, Buffalo losses. I judge him on an offense that was 19.3 ppg in year 10 of his tenure. His best ever offense in 2011 placed 34th in the country. Today the same production would be good for only 54th. In 2006 Top 25 offense began at 28.6 ppg and Top 25 this year is 35.0 (6.4 ppg more).

Tubberville just now apologizes on local television for the USF debacle. He says that is not the kind of culture he wants to be a part of.
