Excuse me if this has been covered in another thread, but is it me or does it seem like whenever Ohio plays in a blackout game it loses. This year vs WMU was a loss. Last year vs NIU was a loss. In 2013 vs KSU was a loss. In 2012 vs BG it was a loss. Off the top of my head I can't even recall a win in these all black uniforms. I'm not blaming the loss at all on them, I'm simply pointing out how it seems when they're worn the result isn't good.

The unveiling of the black jersey resulted in a thorough domination of Marshall.

That buzz has worn off.

Ohio 44 Marshall 7. I think that was the day the all blacks made their debut. The team walked out to Johnny Cash's version of God's Gonna Cut You Down.

Yesterday they wore all black instead of the black with green mesh they've had in the past. I didn't like them as well and apparently the players didn't either. They should make them the centerpiece of a huge bonfire today.

I believe the first blackout game was 2011 vs. Temple. One of the most entertaining and fun games I've attended. Bobcats won 35-31, televised on ESPN. Blackout game this year was an odd choice - should be a night game instead of a noon start.

If I recall correctly, the Marshall game in 2011 wasn't technically a "blackout" game.

Nobody knew we'd be wearing black. The players only found out about it before the game. That was the big reveal that went viral on youtube. We dominated Marshall 44-7. Later that season, we had our first "blackout" game against Temple. It was an unbelievable crowd on ESPN and we beat Temple in a huge MAC game.
<---- (Crowd for that game)

I've seen crazier things happen.
