Agree completely with Mr. Condon! We need more like him. My flag flies year round and I love wearing OU gear when I travel. Lots of Bobcats out there!

Thanks Ted. Now that fellow knows how to write a great article. I'll be checking out the Blade every Monday going forward.

Thanks Ted, I read this in the print edition of the paper when it ran but was having trouble finding it electronically. That makes at least two of us up here in NW Ohio/SE Michigan who fly the green the white.

GO BOBCATS!

I certainly appreciate Ohio fans in northwest Ohio. One of my neighbor's children goes to Ohio, and they enjoy visiting her there, and we talk about Ohio sometimes. It's nice to have a few people to relate to.

For all that is fickle and sometimes maddening about the Block family, I appreciate The Blade. It's still family-owned, it still has a voice instead of a corporately-mandated dronish tone. And how many papers still have four college football beat reporters (BG, Toledo, Ohio State and Michigan) on staff in a market the size of Toledo? Their columnists have been lackluster ( Harris and Hackenberg -- oof), but you can read four gamers and four good notebooks on each college football game in the region every Sunday. That's a rarity. Their Ohio State beat guy, David Briggs, will be moving up quickly in the food chain. His stuff is really good.

When is everyone going to start trashing him for saying he roots for Ohio State?

Isn't it enough that he trashed himself by saying that? No need to pile on.
